SPAM Filtering Services
Tired of receiving those junk emails day after day?
JLTechs’s spam filtering service operates automatically to filter unsolicited “junk” email from each users mailbox, protecting your employees from unwanted distractions and interruptions. With the ever increasing amount of unsolicited email or “spam” arriving daily, protection from spam is an important means of saving time and staying focused on the important work at hand.
As email passes through our SPAM filtering server, the filter automatically scans inbound email for unwanted spam and blocks any found. All isolated messages are then stored in a unique email box for later examination if desired, or these isolated messages can use any one of the SPAM filtering actions shown below.

How Spam Filtering Works
- Email is sent to your email address
- The emails are routed through our SPAM Filtering servers where they automatically get scanned for SPAM and take whichever SPAM ACTION you have specified
- After the email passes our SPAM Filtering server the emails are routed to your email server
Spam Filtering Actions
| |
 |
WARN: This adds an "X-RBL-WARNING" header to the E-mail. Most users won't ever see this. However, if they want, they can add a filter to their E-mail software to test for this header. That allows them to have full control over what happens to the E-mail. |
| |
 |
SUBJECT: Use this option if you want to modify the subject of spams, to have them prefaced by "SPAM: " (or "ADV: "). This way, users get the E-mail, but can visually distinguish their good E-mail from the bad. Users can also setup rules within their email software to process emails with SPAM in the subject field. |
| |
 |
HEADER: This will display a message at the top of the E-mail. This might be good if you want your users to know that you are filtering for spam, as it will be very obvious to them. |
| |
 |
FOOTER: Similar to the header, but this will appear at the bottom of the E-mail. This is the perfect place for a disclaimer. |
| |
 |
ATTACH: This is the SpamHider action, which makes E-mail much more pleasant to deal with, by attaching it to a short E-mail describing the spam (just showing the subject, who it was from, and a list of the tests that it failed). |
| |
 |
ALERT: This will send a "alert" message back to the sender of the E-mail, but will still allow the E-mail to be delivered. This could be used to let people sending mail through an open relay know that their mail may not be delivered at some systems. |
| |
 |
BOUNCE: This will send a "bounce" message back to the sender of the spam and will NOT deliver message to end user. |
| |
 |
HOLD: This option will set the E-mails aside in a 'quarantine' directory, until you take further action. You can use this if you want to eliminate spam, but must manually verify the spam that is caught. |
| |
 |
DELETE: Once your email server verifies that the email is spam the server will simply delete the E-mail. You may lose valid emails. |
| |
 |
FOLDER: Once the email server has marked a specific email as spam, that email will be moved to a SPAM folder within the users mailbox. |
| |
 |
ROUTETO: This option will allow all the emails marked as spam to be sent to a specific email address. Example: All spam email for your whole could be sent to a junk mailbox called spam@yourdomain.com. |
